Heather is a singer, pianist, actress, and music teacher from central NY. She loves to perform musical theatre repertoire, as well as sing and play jazz standards. In college she studied voice with Colby Thomas and piano with Kim Paterson, who both helped to inspire and guide her into wanting to teach music.
Currently, Heather is an instructor at the YMCA Center for Music and Creative Arts, where she directs the vocal ensemble and gives private voice and beginner piano lessons. She is also a substitute teacher in the Camden Central School District. In the past, Heather could be seen on stage in many high school, college, and regional theatre musicals and plays. She was the Musical Director of "The Wizard of Oz" with SUNY Oneonta AmeriCorps Summer Theatre Program. Heather was a member of SUNY Oneonta's Chamber and Concert Choirs, where she performed with the Catskill Symphony Orchestra, and was a part of many operettas and concert tours. She is also a member of Alpha Psi Omega, the National Honor Theatre Fraternity.
Heather hopes to continue working and growing with the YCCA on future endeavors.
