DRUMSET MASTERCLASS with WILL CALHOUN

Where: Mohawk Valley Community College, Rome Campus (Plumley Building)
Will Calhoun will be presenting a masterclass unlike no other, focusing on solo drumming, drumset independence, playing with tracks and loops, integrating electronics into the drumset, world beats, frequency knowledge, and improvisation.
Private one-on-one lessons available to a limited number of students at Gary's Music in Rome.
9/11 PERFORMANCE/Field Trip to NYC
When: Wednesday, September 10th to Thursday. September 11th, 2008
Where: downtown NYC
featuring selected YCCA students, Denise Morgan, Joel Martin, Harlem Boys & Girls Alumni Ensemble. Trip includes performance at NYC Public Library, tour of "Jazz at Lincoln Center", tour of "Louis Armstrong Museum", overnight stay in NYC. Transportation, chaperones provided. Parents are welcome to attend and travel with us.
